Page 17 of the manual says "each firm you plan to access through BrokerLink requires na individual investment journal". What does this mean?

I am using several brokerage firms, some with more than one account and many of them have balances in different Asset Groups. I use the "account qualifier" to identify the broker and account for each asset.

What do I have to do to comply with the instruction in the manual?

Thanks

Hello David, thank you for posting your question.

The term “investment journal” refers to a brokerage account in Financial Navigator. An asset account where you record your investment transactions can be considered an “investment journal”. These accounts typically have the Broker Cash Account format type, and can be located in the Money Market Accounts, Brokerage Accounts, Checking Accounts, or Savings Accounts categories under the Current Assets group in your Chart of Accounts.

See “Accessing BrokerLink” on page 30 of your BrokerLink manual for an example of the steps needed to use BrokerLink with your investment journals, specifically step 3.

Please let us know if you had further questions about investment journals. You can click the “Post Reply” link at the bottom of this forum post.
