In the transaction activity screen in FN 8.0, the transactions appear in some strange order. It looks like they might be in alphabetical order by payee, or something. I don't know how to fix this.

There are two ways to sort transactions in the Transaction Activity screen. You can have the transactions appear in any order you want!

  1. Simply double click on any column heading. For example, if you double click on "Date", the transactions will appear on the Transaction Activity screen in date order.

  2. If you want to have a more complex sort, select View | Sort from the Transaction Activity menu. Then select the sort you want from the 3 drop-down list boxes.
    • For example, if you want this list to be sorted in date order, and then by check number for transaction that have the same date, you would select "Date" from the "1st Sort" box and "Check #" from the "Second Sort" box.
    • NOTE: if you want no sort at all -- i.e., you want the transactions to appear exactly in the order in which you entered them -- select "(none)" from the first drop-down list box on the Sort screen.

Navigator remembers the sort order you choose. When you view other accounts or other entities, the Transaction Activity screen displays transactions in the order you previously selected.
