We're talking about editing an automatic entry in Transactions | Automatic Entries. You're right, there isn't a way to completely delete a single line of an automatic entry. You can "null" the entire thing or insert a line. In order to delete a line, you can do the following:
Null the entry and then re-do it without the unnecessary accounts. The advantage of this method is that the unnecessary accounts are completely gone.
Or: You can remove an line in an automatic entry by using the action code of 'Skip Entry'.
This can be done by the following steps:
- Blank out the account name.
- For the action code select 'Skip Entry'.
- Select OK to save the Automatic Entry.
The unnecessary account will not show up at all when you use this automatic entry in transaction activity. On the automatic entry screen, the line where the account used to appear will have a blank account and the action code "Skip Entry." You can't make the entire line on the Automatic Entries screen go away this way.If you think that it would be important to improve this aspect of the program, please post it as a suggestion to the Recommended FN Program Enhancements forum.
