I often have memos that are more than 26 characters and often clients want to include not just the invoice or acct # as a reference but also an explanation of what the item was form. For example, I have one check which is paying off 5 different invoices: 57529, 57356, 57367, 57195 & 58045 but I cannot fit that in the memo. Is there any way to make this all fit and/or have 2 memos for one entry

You can't expand the memo field. However, you have can dozens of memo lines on a transaction! To do this, use a multiple distribution. Once you're at the multiple distribution screen, you can enter as many memo lines as you wish.

To change a single distribution to a multiple distribution, highlight the transaction in transaction entry and select Tools | Multiple Distributions or select the ***MD icon from the tool bar. Type each memo on a separate line.

Note: You cannot have an account and a memo on the same line.
