I am a long-time FN user. Recently, whenever posting a multiple distribution, the program asks me for the account information again. In other words, when I post a transaction as a multiple distribution, it wants the account information again. I am using 8.0.7, your most current version. I believe this problem started about 6 months ago. Any thoughts on a fix?

What version of Windows are you using (95,98,2000,NT,ME)?

Does this happen in all entities, or just one.

Does this happen in all journals, or just one.

Does this happen every time you enter a multiple distribution?

Do you enter the account first and then select the multiple distribution screen, or do you select the multiple distribution screen prior to entering the first account name?

When does the program want the account information again? Can you tell me the order you put transaction information in and what the program does so that I can attempt to reproduce the problem?

I found this problem another way. When entering a transaction (not multi-distribution)the default account number is wrong for the particular payee. I click the account number, the dialog box appears, select the appropriate account, and the dialog box reappears! I have to click "okay" twice.

I am using Windows XPhome, on a Dell Computer with 800 mhz and 512MB of RAM.

You need to check your automatic entry to make sure it is set up with the correct account. See the forum post Wrong account comes up in entry

Let me know if this solves your problem.
