Two months ago, I entered a transaction with an out of sequence check. Subsequently, I got back into sequence. Example - checks #1, #2, #5, #3Now my sequence is back up to where the out of sequence check number was. Example - written check #4, and the next check should be #6. But FN is prompting me with #5 again. Shouldn't FN be controlling this, aware that check #5 was issued previously? How to fix?

See the post: Sequential check number problemIf you enter a check out of order, FN uses the next check after the most recent check entered (no matter where in the sequence it is). Therefore, if you delete a check number or re-enter a check number, FN goes to the next check after that one whether it has been used already or not. Manually type in the correct next check number, or follow the steps in the forum post mentioned above. If this does not resolve your problem, reply to this post. Thanks. I understand how to fix the problem. It seems to me that a feature of FN "ought to be" to (since it doesn't currently) control that multiple transactions can't be made with the same check number.

That is an excellent suggestion and has been added to the Recommended FN Program Enhancements request list.
