I just started using 8.1 and I'm having a problem I can't seem to solve. On 11/07/02 I entered quite a few checks and at the end of the day entered a couple of large deposits. Every check that I enter since 11/07/02 is some how bumped up above those two deposits. The result being that when I look at my transaction activity for the past week or so it shows a negative balance until I get down to the bottom of the page and the deposits of 11/07/02 are shown. What have I done? Is there a way to correct this

You can sort transactions in the transaction activity screen many different ways.

From the FN transaction entry screen:

  1. Select View | Sort Transactions.
  2. Select the first, second, and if applicable third sort options.
(In your example you would select Date as the first sort, Deposit as the second sort and Chk # as the third sort.)
  3. Select OK to return to transaction activity.
  4. The transactions are now sorted per your selections.

Please see the FN onscreen Help system index and search on Sorting transactions for complete information on how to sort your transaction activity screen transactions.
