We assign our own account numbers to each account. But when I type our account number, FN inserts the account with the matching FN account number instead of my account:I type 1234 for my account “1234-Utility Expense” FN inserts account “Rental Income (1234)”, which is not what I want!

You are right. When FN sees you enter only numbers in the account field, FN assumes you are specifying an account by the FN-assigned account number. If there is an exact match between the numbers you entered and the first numbers in an FN account-assigned account number, FN inserts that account. To bring up your account instead, enter enough characters so your entry does not exactly match the FN-assigned account number. Or enter a non-numeric character that is part of your account number, like a space or a dash. In the example you gave, enter “1234-“ and FN will insert the correct account. - David FNI Support
