I want to change the entities' file name on ROI. ROI tells me the entity does not exist.

Since the entity was added to ROI, the file name changed from C:\FNDATA\xxxx06 to C:\FNDATA\FN2006\xxxx06. I believe this is why ROI says that the "file" does not exist.

I have tried to use the "rename" choice on the screen, however, the program does not allow me to select "rename".

I need to rename all of the "files" on ROI. I suppose I could simply re-add all of them as new entities and ignor all the "file does not exist" but the program keeps trying to find the files and giving me an error message.

Any suggestions?

Yes, you can rename all of the files in ROI. You can use the Properties | Replace in Folder function to edit the data file paths in ROI.

The step-by-step instructions are included in the ROI documentation under the topic "Entity Family File Locations". You can also look in the ROI help file under the topic "Replace all paths".

Alternatively, like you say, you could also re-add all of your data files and remove the ones that are no longer valid.
