Joseph:In Navigator 8.2 and 9.0, you delete the whole entity from the entity list. As far as the data, in many ways, 9.0 is the opposite of Navigator 8.2.

Can I delete the actual data for an entity in 9.0?
The short answer is no. Again, many ways, 9.0 is the opposite of Navigator 8.2:
|
Navigator 8.2 |
Navigator 9.0 |
To delete entity data for one year |
Delete entity-year folder |
Not possible |
To delete entity data for all years |
Delete all entity-year folders for that entity* |
Not possible |
* If you delete all the entity-year folders for an entity but do not delete the entity from the entity list first, the entity will still be on the entity list and it will be difficult to remove. Better to delete the entity from the list first, then delete the remaining folders. Always make good backups first.
Stay tuned for a similar discussion of the differences between 8.2 and 9.0 when cloning or copying and entity.
